Hey all. I have a bipennifolium that lost its cream after the only leaf it came with. It had 3 growth points. Two of them produce beautiful leaves, just no cream. There’s ONE MORE growth point showing variegation on the sheath itself. Do yall think there’s a chance of bringing back cream since it’s below the cream leaf?

I want to cut above it to activate the 3rd & final growth point, but it’s a VERY tight area, and if I can’t get close enough to the growth point, below the leaf, it would cut off ALL roots to the 2nd growth point connected to the cream leaf. That growth point with like 5 leaves would need to be propped separately and removed from the moss pole (I don’t think it has successfully rooted into it from what I can see). 

I would prefer all 3 to stay in the same pot. 

So any advice on this? Assuming I can cut how I want to without damaging the growth point at all, that would work out. But I suspect there isn’t enough room between all the roots, the growth point, and the space for the scissors.

1: Pink line shows the idea cut location, below only cream leaf. Notice that this growth point is below 3 roots that encircle the leaf above. It’s a VERY tight area and I’m not sure my smallest scissors will each without damaging something. 

2: purple line shows the part of the plant that the roots supply water to. I believe the stump below the leaf that has the last growth point has its own roots below the substrate, but I’ve never pulled the plant to confirm this. It’s in a substrate that doesn’t make inspecting easy.

Left side of the plant climbing the moss pole does NOT have roots into the pole that I can see, and is still attached to the main stump including the original cream leaf and the 3rd growth point
