Is this normal gecko's behaviour?

So I moved to Thailand and after the stray cats that has been hiding in my backyard have moved out, a gecko moved in.

I'm not entirely sure if it's a gecko but it does sound like one for sure. But it always purr before it does its sound and everytime it's 4 times. Every night all night. I don't know what to do, it's so loud, I can't sleep. I don't know where to find it because I tried and it's just so good at hiding.

It has been weeks, I can't sleep, help me chase this noisy little creature out please.
