Why is the Fallout community so divided?

Question

I've only been in the fandom for about a year now after first trying out Fallout 1 for the first time, however since then I've played every Fallout game (excluding 76, BoS, and that one pinball game ). And in that short period of time I've come to notice a sort of divide in the community, sort of a three sided divide actually.

On one side you have the New Vegas Glazers, these are the ones that defend New Vegas with their life, calling it the best Fallout game of all time (they say it in a more objective way rather than a subjective way), ad also are the ones who make up this weird corny ass story about how Bethesda (who hired Obsidian because they knew that Obsidian could make a good Fallout game btw), hates New Vegas despite it being as successful as Bethesda had hoped and selling around 11.6 million copies, and that Bethesda is trying to destroy it's legacy because they're jealous of New Vegas's success despite Fallout 3, 4, and Skyrim separately made more and were more successful than New Vegas. There's also still rumors that Bethesda gave Obsidian the 18 month deadline despite the Obsidian CEO saying that they accepted it freely and that they "bit off more than they could chew". Anyway...

Then there's the opposite, the Bethesda glazers. The ones who don't allow any criticism of any Bethesda Fallout game, and who say that Fallout 3 and 4 has the best stories in the franchise (once again, they say this in a objective way, not in a subjective way). these are also annoying because you could just be giving some fair criticism of the Bethesda games or the TV show and they'll get mad and start saying that you are a New Vegas Glazer and that if you don't like the newer games, then just ignore it. (Also, I've found that most of these people have never played the games they're hating on)

And then there's the normal fans like me and (hopefully) you. Anyways, I'd like to hear your thoughts, I also don't know if this is the right subreddit to post this to.
