Building bases on the moon? How?

The objective of missions like Artemis is to build permanent bases on the moon surface for future deeper-space missions among others. I don't know much about rockets and "space tecnology" and i'm curious on how would they actually build structures on the moon...

I assume that they would build it with a similar method as the ISS (by pieces with robotic arms) but building something that huge so far away doesn't make sense to me, for example, how would they bring all the materials without needing lots launchings? (since rockets can't carry much materials or pre-built structures).

I don't know practically anything on this subject, I hope this question doesen't look too dumb (english is not my native language I hope everything is understandable)
