Erosion and Sediment Control Plans - Work Flow

Question

Our firm competes many erosion and sediment control plans for contractors, who are working for their own clients/owners. They typically require their own E and S plans to be submitted and approved.

We usually receive the design CAD files from the owner/designer, and copy their information into our own CAD file, then add our own notes, lines and labels for E&S control measures. I find this process is a bit excessive converting the original CAD into our own file. Wondering how others typically tackle these types of projects? I think a markup of the design drawings would suffice personally, but obviously depends on the requirements of the local authority.

Anyone have experience doing this?
