Cruise control after manual swap

HELP!!! :snoo_scream:

Hello! I have a 97 recently converted to manual. It runs great and I have no issues with the car other than the cruise control not working. Here’s what I’ve done:

-the ecu wire 1O (blk/lt green) is grounded

-I have wired in the clutch switch to the original AT wire (brn/wt) and grounded it

-the CC light does come on when I press it

Here’s where I’m iffy currently:

I used the original manual harness for the transmission- so from the junction box under the hood to the transmission is the original manual loom. I didn’t wire anything up for reverse lights, neutral safety etc, however, those all work. The car does not start in gear. The clutch has to be depressed to start in gear.

I’m just scratching my head over what it could possibly be atp. Does the disengage switch need to be wired in from the clutch? Where does that go? Can I wire it into the brake pedal switch?
