Cooling mat or Doghouse?

We live with our rescue husky in Houston and would love to let her be outside more but it’s so dang hot. Do any of your dogs actually use the cooling mats I see online? We are thinking about that or maybe some kind of insulated doghouse for shade to put outside to let her be out more.
