Newb questions, temps and speed

General Discussion

New to Bambulab, not new to 3d printing. Spent 8years using a wanhao duplicator 6.

Nursed and modded, still going strong for functional prints.

Got me a P2S with and AMS pro a few weeks back.

So here are two things I noticed and would like to discuss.

  1. Speed

As much as I like the speeds, that thing doesn't vibrate, it SHAKES violently!!

For that, the "vibration compensation" works great, but you have (faint) layer lines, ringing and ghosting.

Lower speeds are the easy solution.

Is that normal, tho?

  1. Temps

Temperature for most filaments is very high, easily above the recommended temperature in a lot of cases?

Is there a reason for this?

Could be flow, different sensors, I don't know.

Very curious: 3djake has a custom profile with 225c as print temperature for their own PLA that is recommended max 215c.

Might just be an error, though.
