I'm losing my mind coz my Meta accounts keeps getting hacked or flagged with suspicious activity!
I am so tired of Meta at this point. This is the SECOND time my accounts have been compromised and I genuinely don’t know what else I’m supposed to do.
Last year, I woke up and saw that someone registered a random email to my Gmail account without my knowledge. Literally while I was asleep. When I checked the activity/location, it was so weird because it said Bangladesh when I've literally never been there. Obviously panicked, removed the suspicious email, changed passwords, thought I fixed it.
Later that same day, I noticed that my Instagram started posting crypto scam BS authomatically and after that I completely lost access to my IG and never got it back. Support was useless. My Facebook got hacked too, but thankfully I managed to recover that one.
Fast forward literally ONE YEAR later, my Facebook suddenly gets flagged again this mornning at 2 am and I was restricted for a couple of hours. Had to do the video selfie verification just to prove I’m a real human being. Got access back, immediately changed all passwords, enabled 2FA (with a DIFFERENT authenticator this time), logged out of all devices, the whole checklist.
and now just an hour i ago, I got an email saying this?? EXCUSE ME???? I DID NOT CREATE AN AD ACCOUNT. I don’t run ads. I don’t even want an ad account. I tried deactivating it and somehow it keeps creating a new one??? At this point I feel like something is still compromised and Meta just refuses to tell you WHAT. Is it my email? My laptop? My phone? A cookie?
I’m genuinely considering reformatting my laptop and phone because this is insane. I’ve done everything “right” and it keeps happening. I’m scared to even log in now because it feels like any activity triggers another security issue.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Do I nuke my devices?
Is Meta security just this bad??
I just want my accounts to STOP being haunted 😭
