Betts vs Awa

This might be kinda a dumb question, but why does Dallas seem so keen to draft Fam if they need a big and not Betts? While Awa might be younger, doesn't Lauren have more experience?

I also feel like previously I saw a lot of mock drafts with Betts as #1 but then Fam started taking that spot. What changed?
