Am I just going insane or does it never feel like a good match for Venture?

I get stuck so often from so many variables. Unlike someone like Soldier, there's just so many situations where it feels like I'm throwing just by picking them. Wide open map with little cover for close engagements, maps with a lack of flank routes (Circuit), hitscan players playing super far back, cass/mizuki comps, flying heroes. It's just painful. I fully recognize I am not a great Venture, good is pushing it already, but I'm just struggling so bad.
