Type 2 diabetic / newly pregnant

Has anybody had any experience being a type 2 diabetic while pregnant ? I recently found out I was diabetic in December , originally being treated as a Type 1 but ultimately diagnosed with type 2. I am 13 weeks pregnant and my appointments are very frequent and the doctors are scaring me. I’m starting insulin soon. I’m just so scared I’m harming my baby or my baby is in danger.
