Which European country do you think is most similar to the Southern States?

If you’re from or live in the South which European country do you think is closest to your experience back home, and why?

I’m asking because I’m from a Southern state and I’m planning to move or travel to Europe soon. I’m especially interested in things like how friendly people are, weather, food, culture, and overall vibe.
