Ghost in the Machine

2007 Skoda Octavia VRS Wagon. My car alarm appears to go off without notice. Lock the car, it goes off. So random and sometimes it does it and others not.

Any tips for avoiding this? I have the motion sensor button on the inside pillar, not sure if this should be orange or red (red by default). Click the key once or twice? Lock the steering wheel or not? Disconnect the fuse….
