I started this collection nearly three decades ago, as I was working through my college undergraduate degree. I had always been a movie fan, but exposure to other people's tastes in film really started expanding my horizons. I didn't have a huge budget for physical media, so I'd make occasional trips to Best Buy to pick up a title here and there (I managed to get my mitts on *The Rock* before it went OOP). Once I settled down, finding steady work and pay, the titles started rolling in more frequently. During the lockdown years, I finally jumped into the 4K game and never looked back. Now that I'm at a point where I found a "sweet spot" with my movie budget, I can take advantage of flash sales or the biannual B&N sales, often grabbing 6-8 titles during those events. I really enjoy selections from the New Hollywood Era (*Nashville, The Paralax View)*, all the classic *film noir* titles (*Double Indemnity, Night and the City, Odd Man Out*), and even some of the grindhouse samurai series (The *Lady Snowblood* collection, *Lone Wolf and Cub*). I've been particularly interested in investing in one of the many expansive box sets (*Godzilla* and the Fellini sets come to mind).

As I said, my tastes have really broadened over the years. I'm always looking for titles that feel new, exciting, and out of the box. With the next B&N sale coming up in a few months, I've already begun making a mental list of potential titles to grab. If you have any suggestions for possible picks, I'd love to hear them.
