M&A Internship Inquiry

First-year finance student and first-gen so I don't really have anyone to ask about this.

Trying to find an internship for the summer and I have been finding a large amount of "M&A Analyst" positions that are all focused on buy side / sell side representation. The one I'm looking at is 100% commission-based which is making me think that this is just a scam internship, but this seems to be incredibly common from looking on Handshake and I haven't really seen much information on them. Can someone provide any insight?
