I just ended episode 1 ! I will hopefully be posting reviews each episode so I can keep track of everything.

So it took larger than I expected, ChatGPT told me that it would be around 15 hours, but im quite sure they were like 25… but it was really fun. Its my first Visual Novel oat. I enjoy great media, and I think im done with all the good anime, so jumping into vn was something I had been planning a while ago. It went beyond my expectations. Ik that episode 1 is the worst (at least for many) and I really enjoyed it. The characters are all generic but also enjoyable and the murder mystery part was incredible. I also enjoyed all the slow burn of the family problems and romances going on.

My favorite characters are Natsuhi, Battler and Maria. They were super interesting to be around with and each of them have a great backstory and purposes. My least favorite characters might just be Nanjo and Godha becuase they actually just look like filler characters.

I really think umineko is going in a great direction for me. It is something different. Instead of having plotholes and bad writing, they are literally playing with them. This vn plays with scenarios were it is “impossible” for a human being the culprit, but there is so much thinking out of that. There are so many things that cannot be done by a human, but there are sure many other things that a witch wouldn’t do. Its really interesting and im looking forward the second chapter.
