on & off spotting

i am 5 weeks + 4 days pregnant & i have been experiencing on and off again spotting it started sunday it’s only when i wipe, maybe just one or two wipes & after that its gone never enough to touch my underwear then again on Tuesday then again today (thursday) accompanied by brown spotting with a mucus like consistency kinda. my doctors appointment isn’t until april 21st & i’m not sure what to do. does anyone know what could be wrong ?
