Arrest record

Is it worth attempting to get on with PD. I was arrested in the army for a DV accusation that was a big misinterpretation of what happened and i’m still with same woman and everything and was wanting to pursue a career with my local PD but my arrest still shows when running my federal background but i have paperwork for the case being dropped and everything. I’m able to go back in the Military but trying to avoid it so police was my only option to me.
