Reprimanded Through Text, and now I’m anxious AF

Okay, so each morning MB will let me know how the mornings been and then give me an idea of things to do for the day. Today it was that the laundry needed to be switched to the dryer then folded, prep food for NK, cook MB and DB dinner and then normal everyday stuff is just part of it.

I get home and 30 minutes later get a text from MB: I texted this morning and asked that the laundry be done while you were here all day. It was still wet in the dryer when I got home. The sink had dirty dishes in it and a lot of NK’s items were left in her stroller instead of where they belong. Did something happen today to leave things like this?

I explained that I had to start the dryer twice because when I went back to fold they were wet, I switched clothes to the dryer after I put her down for first nap, then when I went to fold during second nap, they were still wet so I started it again. I had literally cleaned the kitchen and started a full dishwasher so the dirty items in the sink I believe were just a spoon and my glass I used for water. The items in the stroller were diapers, wipes, pacifier, and extra outfit and maybe a toy.

I explained everything in my response only to get a message back saying we understand things happen but we want to make sure this isn’t a regular occurrence. Please make sure to tell us if there’s anything you don’t get done in the day before you leave.

Now I’m super anxious and this is the first time in 3 months that I haven’t gotten to the laundry and not told them before leaving. I think if she had phrased everything in a different way it wouldn’t be so bad but I feel like I’m getting yelled at through text message for mostly a thing I couldn’t control because their dryer sucks. It also seems out of left field because if there’s laundry I didn’t get to MB will say “oh it’s fine don’t worry about it”.

I also don’t know what to say in response to their last message and I don’t know how to feel either.

Also to add I haven’t told them before but I do have ADHD so the stuff in the stroller I just forgot about, plus MB came home 20 minutes early which is when I normally do last minute tidy up and check everything over.
