How to get abandoned (probably) scaffolding that's obstructing the public pavement removed? (England)
There's some scaffolding (two lots on the same road actually) in my town that has been there for over a year (or maybe two), with the legs sitting on the public pavements, which are fairly narrow.
Both scaffolds are attached to empty, dilapidated buildings and it doesn't appear that any work is ever, or has ever been done.
There is no company name or inspection tags on either of them.
Is there any way that we can get the council to remove this obstruction? My friend uses an electric wheelchair and tonight as we were going home from the pub, I really noticed how much of an issue this was causing for him. He had to go onto the road to get around them. So, this inspired me to post about it here.
I'm gonna have a walk down tomorrow and get photos and whatthreewords references.
