good evening, I'm going to get straight to the point

doesn't smell like burnt clutch it was driving fine then it went pop and stopped allowing to select a gear the clutch comes back up like a spring loaded doesn't drag or stick so I was wondering if it is the clutch slave cylinder but wanted to check with you all first
