What to know about surrendering my dog.
I am going to pass away within the next year, sorry to be grim but I don’t want you to think I’m one of those people who just want my dog gone. I love my dog like she is my best friend, it is gutting me to make this decision for her. I know she won’t forgive me for this but I want to make sure she is taken care of when I’m gone. I have no family and no real support so I want to surrender her before my health gets worse and I can’t take her somewhere to live out her life with someone else I want to find someone who will love her because she is such a loving soul
She is amazing, a 7 year old shepsky. she has no behavior issues or health issues, not high energy just enjoys a walk every night. never destroys anything not does she gets into anything.
my question is where do I look to surrender her? I tried looking up no kill shelters in my area but it is all hard to navigate. I have no one that will take her, how do I go about finding the right place to take her somewhere they will find a loving family to take care of her when I can’t?
