I am tired of people asking me what I preferred to be called.

I have one of those long names that people shorten naturally, and on every single zoom call I have at work when I am meeting someone new, the first question is if I want to be called the long name or the shortened name.

To be fair, I do have all of my work contact stuff with my longer name because it feels more professional, but I literally think people can call me whatever they want.

It isn’t up to me what you call me.
