Quick share because this was too good not to post. I've been trying to nail down a reliable chicken breast method that doesn't dry everything out, and honestly this air fryer version just works. It was a Tuesday, I had about 20 minutes before everyone got hangry, and I needed something that wasn't going to stress me out. Put the steps together here if anyone's curious: [https://www.amgroyal.com/air-fryer-chicken-breast-easy-weeknight-dinner](https://www.amgroyal.com/air-fryer-chicken-breast-easy-weeknight-dinner)

Here's what I used:

4 small chicken breasts 4 ounces
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Here's how it went:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. I usually start this first so it's ready when I am.

2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels, then toss them in a bowl and rub the olive oil all over them. Don't skip the drying part, it actually helps the seasoning stick better.

3. Mix your smoked paprika, cumin, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, then rub the spice mix on both sides of each chicken breast. I just used my hands for this.

4. Put the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes. Flip them over and cook another 4 minutes until they hit 165°F inside and the juices run clear. The chicken should feel firm but still be juicy when you cut into it.

5. Take them out and serve right away while they're hot.

Few things I noticed:

The 4-ounce size is key here. I had one breast that was closer to 6 ounces and it needed an extra minute or two, so just check with a thermometer if yours are bigger.

The smoked paprika and cumin combo gives it this really nice depth without being spicy. My kids actually ate it without complaining, which is basically a miracle.

Pro tip: if you're cooking from frozen, just add 2-3 minutes per side. I've done this when I forgot to defrost and it still turns out pretty solid.

Leftovers kept in the fridge for almost a week and I used them for salads and wraps. They don't get weird or rubbery like some reheated chicken does.

This is basically my new go-to weeknight meal when I need dinner on the table fast. The whole thing took maybe 13 minutes start to finish, and cleanup was just the bowl and the air fryer basket. Can't really ask for easier than that.

What do you guys usually serve with air fryer chicken? I did rice and roasted broccoli but I'm looking for other quick side ideas.
