Can Linoone work in the battle frontier?

I spent a long time training up my battle frontier team, consisting of a Starmie, Metagross, and Extreme Speed Linoone from Pokemon Box. Starmie and Metagross are both good, but have weaknesses Linoone can't really cover, even if it is a great setup sweeper. The team seems to especially struggle with pokemon like swampert. I've gotten to silver on the tower, pike, and dome but seem to be struggling quite a bit lately with regaining a streak even that high.

Essentially, I'm wondering if it's practical to try to get through the other battle facilities to the gold symbol with Linoone on my team? I think switching it out for something like a Salamence would probably work better, but I love having Linoone on my team so it would be kind of a bummer. Thank you!
