Feeling somewhat directionless - what options are good for me?
Been floundering about for 5 years on "freelance game development" (a.k.a. perpetual unemployment) with not much to show for it. After some depressive bouts and sitting around in my room for way too long, I've sort of gotten some clarity in my mind and would like to have a change in career. But I'm not entirely sure what all my options are, so any advice would be helpful
some things about me:
- based in Canada (near Toronto)
- got dealt a bit of a bad hand in life - diagnosed with high-functioning autism, ADHD, and Tourette's syndrome when I was a child
- because of such, I'm not a very social person, but I know that's something I have to suck up and deal with, at least for interviews and whatnot
- finished college back in 2020, but open to go back and take some courses while networking there
- like to think I'm stronger in math/data-related fields, but don't want to touch anything directly related to programming/dev/IT
- salary is less relevant to me now, but would like to be in a path that eventually pays decently (I mean, who wouldn't)
- know about the existence of trades but nothing in detail - wondering if it's as back-breaking and long hours as I've heard
What sort of career paths/opportunities are good for me?
Personally I think something oriented around math, spreadsheets, or machinery, involving minimum social interaction would be ideal. Of course, remote work would be the best but I don't think such a job exists (?) and beggars can't be choosers etc. etc. But if anyone here has better ideas, I'm all ears
Just feeling a bit clueless right now - any help is appreciated, thanks
