Google home and alarms magically disappearing

can someone explain why when I ask my Google display in my room to set a alarm for so and so then the Google responds with "ok your alarm is set for such and such " then the alarm never fucking goes off it's happened on multiplie occasions and it's so frustrating when you're late.
