The computer tricked me. I was Ethiopia going for a science victory, and thankfully had two civs acting as a wall between me and Shaka. He literally ate two civs capitals on his way to me. Then I used my UA and UU to beat his ass back across a continent, holding chokes against wave after wave of bloodthirsty impis. I liberated two capitals, bringing the Iroquois back from the dead. I was feeling so smug on my tall, 3 city civ, with nearly 100 combat power on each city if he tried to circumvent my wall of men and allies.

Then he offered peace and I accepted, glad to have humbled the warmonger. Only to find that I accidentally gave two of my cities away in the deal.

I hadn't saved in three hours...
