Exchange Semester Abroad at TEC CCM Campus - Tips for housing, friends, etc.

:upvote:Discusión/Discussion:downvote:

Hello everyone,

I'm an undergraduate student in the US taking a semester abroad next fall for 2026, and I'm planning my exchange for TEC at the CCM Campus.

I chose CDMX due to the city life I want to experience, and I really want to soak in the culture. I see the CCM Campus does not have dorms, and it's a little further from the center of the city. Therefore, I have to find my own place to stay, and I would love some input on finding housing.

* What websites can I search for short-term renting?

* What neighborhood would be best?(I'm looking to be able to have an easier commute to campus, but also be near public transportation so I can explore the city as I please. I also love trying new food, sports, and I really want to socialize with locals.)

This brings me to my second point of socialization. Is there any group to meet students at TEC or incoming exchange students? I'd love to meet some people before I go.

Any other tips before going abroad would be greatly appreciated!
