Was the roaring knight patched?

so, I'm playing on switch (idk how much that effects things) and instead of making go through the full fight, once all my characters got to 0 hp on the first fight, it just went to the Undyne cut scene.

I know people were complaining that they were essentially locked out of any progression because of the fight, but I didn't even get to experience it :(

does anyone know what's going on?
