KOF '97 and '98 were peak

The Orochi Saga storyline is still one of the best arcs in fighting game history. The tension between the Sacred Treasures team and Orochi's forces — Iori losing control, Leona's awakening, Chris being Orochi's vessel — none of that has been topped.

Curious — who was your main during the Orochi era? I always went back to Kyo but Iori's 97 version was unreal.
