Is threatning to spread abuse allegations to peoples freinds to ruin someones life, a sign it could be false?

In my friend ground this couple (19M, 20F) broke up recently and it was mostly done behind the scenes but has gotten messy. The girl is saying she'll tell us (the guys freinds) everything if shes removed from group chats and excluded from plans. Most of us have know her a year, primarily as this guys girlfreind. Shes set her whatsap status to an implied threat to the guy which is why I am asking this.

As a someone who has been sexually and domestically abused in the past this really doesnt sit well with me the way she's been wording that. I understand no two abusevive situations are the same and no one reacts as others might. However I feel like "do as I say or I ruin your life" is not a good sign on her part? I've been freinds with this guy for years and althought I cant say what hes like in a relationship behind the scenes , I'm fidning myself "siding" with him on this matter. I am aware I'm more biased towards beliving him.
