Last-minute summer job panic 😭 any teens in Richmond Hill/Markham still getting hired?

I’m turning 17 soon and I’m starting to stress a bit about summer jobs 😭 I feel like I might be late applying (April) and I’m not sure what I should be doing right now.

I’m in the Richmond Hill / Markham area and I’m open to pretty much anything—camp counsellor, retail, restaurants, tutoring, etc. I just don’t really know:

- Is it too late to get hired for this summer?

- What kinds of jobs are still hiring at this point?

- Where should I actually apply (online vs in person)?

- Any tips for someone with limited experience?

I’ve worked a bit before (hostess + retirement home), but I’m not sure how to stand out or if that’s enough.

Also if anyone has specific places/programs that are still hiring teens around here, please let me know 🙏
