Do I need to do biometrics if applying to UK YMS Visa if I have Canadian / EU citizenship?

I am applying for UK YMS Visa as a Canadian citizen but I also hold EU citizenship with an Italian passport. I am trying to avoid doing in person biometrics if possible, do I need to do the biometrics in this case?
