Trying to switch from Photoshop - key features I miss (person selection, camera raw adjustment layer) - Am I missing something?

Photo

I'm a longtime user of Photoshop, and I'm trying to get out of their ecosystem. There are a couple of features I haven't found an easy replacement workflow for.

I make a lot of composites with portraits, and the Photoshop feature I miss the most is the automatic (AI) selections of body parts, particularly eyes and faces. Being able to brighten the person's eyes by one-click selecting the iris and/or the whites individually or separately always made things pop a bit more. I've already got the machine learning installed to make object selections, but it doesn't want to make fine enough selections. I can make manual selections and masks, but that slows me down compared to Adobe. Any ideas?

The other feature I'm missing is the Camera Raw adjustment layer. The Develop mode is most of what I want, except the masking is much more manual and is destructive, unlike in Photoshop, where I can make the layer a smart object and use it non-destructively. Or am I missing something?
