Denied Botox

I recently received my esophogeal manometry results from Dr Amanda Hu in Vancouver after a 2 yr wait to get the test. I passed the 24hr PH test to test acid levels but she said the manometry test showed I have 100% esophageal paralysis. The thing is, I have every symptom of No Burp (my whole life) and not a single symptom of paralysis (choking, chest pain, regurgitation, food getting stuck). I was 100% expecting her to say I was a candidate for Botox but during our 3 min phone call to discuss the test results, she completely dismissed me, told me that Botox would make “my condition” worse and referred me to a GI specialist at St Paul’s hospital for my “rare and serious” paralysis condition as she put it. I then looked up esophageal paralysis and it says Botox is one of the suggested treatments! I’m feeling so discouraged right now. Anyone else experience this kind of test result?
