The idea was (atleast in my head) fairly straightforward, make a creature that rolls around using just rotations, pivots, and area2Ds to detect collisions, the idea was when one of the Areas touch something, it would switch pivots and rotate from there, efectively moving, but this is as close as I got to see the idea come to fruition, here's the code if you want to take on this challenge:

    extends Node2D
    var r := -1
    var canspin=true
    func _process(delta: float) -> void:
    if canspin:
    $Orbit.rotation+=r*delta
    $Pos/Body.look_at($Orbit/Pivot.global_position)
    func _on_timer_timeout() -> void:
    canspin=true
    func _on_nub_1_body_entered(body: Node2D) -> void:
    if body not in get_children() and canspin:
    $Orbit.global_position=$Pos/Body/Nub1.global_position
    canspin=false
    $Pos.scale*=-1
    $Pos.global_position=$Orbit.global_position
    $Timer.start()
    r*=-1
    func _on_nub_2_body_entered(body: Node2D) -> void:
    if body not in get_children() and canspin:
    $Orbit.global_position=$Pos/Body/Nub1.global_position
    canspin=false
    $Pos.scale*=-1
    $Pos.global_position=$Orbit.global_position
    $Timer.start()
    r*=-1

Is this even possible in Godot? (Read body text)
