If someone "hates small talk" why is that anyone else's problem?

I've seem people on apps claim to "hate small talk". It comes off as them telling their future matches to make the conversation "exciting" as to not bore them.

My question is this.. if you hate small talk.. why don't you just not engage in small talk? If you hate small talk.. then make the conversation exciting.

If you hate small talk, then steer the conversation away from small talk.
