What should I do? Repair of Sell?
I fell while hiking last summer and broke my 100-300 mk1. I have been too sad to look at it for months. The focus motors and stuff still seem to work but I think that things are out of alignment because photos look wonky. It took a nose dive and the filter exploded and the threads broke. Is this something that will be worth it for me to have fixed (or even possible) or should I sell it for parts/repair to a used lens dealer who will repair in-house?
Other info- I had this lens on my 5D but have since switched over to an R6. So advice for a replacement is also good. I’d love to get the RF 100-500 but not sure if I can justify that much of an expense. I really miss the 100-400. 🙁
