War of the roses :\

Playing as england, an event talking about the house of york fired a few decades ago, but they never spawned. Lancaster died after every person in the dynasty had a woman heir who just decided to not marry i guess???? does this mean war of the roses is impossible? I honestly don't care much i just want the modern english flag and i'm tired of looking at plantaganet.
