what shower tool is the best for feeling the most clean/fresh? (i.e. african net sponge, bath towel, etc.).

about a year ago i bought an african net sponge from amazon. don't know if it's authentic or not, but it worked sorta well. i used to scrub pretty hard and it at least felt like it was clearing things up. but it started to smell bad/weird for some reason, even though i used to rinse it very well and hang it up on a hook so it airs after my shower, rather than scrunching up and leaving it on the side. i still use the african net sponge. now it doesn't smell as bad, but it also doesn't feel like it's scrubbing as well as it used to when i got it. note: i've never washed my african net sponge in the washing machine. it's always been by hand. also, i'm not very familiar with all this, so i consider myself a rookie when it comes to all this! before getting the african net sponge, i'd always just used loofas.

i recently started using something similar to this (i also still use my african net sponge, just not as often). i feel like my skin is getting thoroughly scrubbed, and it doesn't smell bad either. i'm just still wondering, what is the best thing to use to feel thoroughly scrubbed and clean? i ditched loofas a while ago, and i'm glad i did so. i'm also someone that has normal-oily skin on the oilier side, especially during the summer months as it's very humid where i stay.
