Developing at home

hello everyone, my wife and I just had our second daughter and with the amount of film im going thru I know im going to spend a small fortune developing it all. My question to everyone is, I'm looking for a simple cost effective "kit" I can get to start developing at home? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
