How are you cleaning or doing house maintenance with a very persistent energetic only child?

I'm not really talking about dishes or laundry that I have to do. I'm talking about power washing my house, painting my garage or basement. she does have school but it is so far that by the time I actually get back it's only an hour or so before leaving again to go get her
