Would you consider moving from Vice President Regulatory Affairs in a small company to Executive Director / Head of Clinical Regulatory Strategy?

I have been a vice president of Regulatory affairs for about 8 months reporting to C suite. I am currently interviewing for another company would be reporting to senior vice president Regulatory affairs.

I really like the culture and compensation should not be an issue. I could use some advice on career progression impact this change could have.

How would this look on my résumé if I move back to executive director in less than one year of being a VP.

For reference I just got promoted from executive director to vice president about eight months ago.

Looking to get input from experienced professionals or recruiters who have first hand experience.
