7. Gone
A week after her first kiss, Her innocence was lost in a twist. A girl of twelve, too young to know, The pain and trauma that would follow.
Sold my soul to turn back time, To save her from this terrible crime. To shield her from the hurt and pain, To make sure her joy would remain.
But alas, my efforts are in vain, The past cannot be changed again. The memories will always remain, Of a girl who lost more than just her name.
Her laughter silenced, her smile gone, Her childhood taken, never to be won. I wish I could undo what's done, And give back what was wrongly gone.
So I'll hold her close and dry her tears, And promise to help her conquer her fears. For though she's lost her innocence at twelve, Her strength and spirit will forever delve.
