Ongoing heavy bleeding (16+ days) - Switched from Meprate to Primolut-N. Is this the right move?

Hi everyone, I (25F) looking for some advice or similar experiences regarding prolonged menstrual bleeding.

The Timeline:

February: I took Meprate for 3 days to induce my period. My period started on Feb 14th but lasted for 14 days.

March: My period started on March 19th. It has now been 16 days and I am still bleeding (roughly 15ml per day).

My doctor has now prescribed Primolut-N (Norethisterone) for a 15-day course to stop the bleeding.

Is it safe to switch from Meprate to a 15-day course of Primolut-N for this type of bleeding?

How long does it usually take for Primolut-N to stop active bleeding?

Has anyone else experienced bleeding this long after taking Meprate?

I’m feeling quite drained from the constant blood loss, so any insight would be appreciated.
