The title of Archmage used to mean something

This genre ruined Archmages for me. When I started reading litrpg Archmages were mysterious, powerful figures in a fantastical world that exemplified the pinnacle of power and knowledge.They set the sealing of power for a story.

The mention of an archmage used to stir up excitement. How powerful are they? What ancient text do they possess? Do they secretly run the world?

Now everybody and their mom is an archmage.

We need a new expression for archmage that revitalizes the essence of what used to be an archmage. Something that distinguishes a real archmage from all the common archmage rabble.

Maybe Pinnacle Supreme Grand Magus or something similar.
