Is this normal?

Employee Question

Is it normal/acceptable for other associates—particularly management—to take misplaced clothes they find on the floor, clothes they’ve marked down or whatever, expired self pickups, etc. and dump them in the fitting rooms or 500s for you to deal with? Is this something I’m supposed to just suck it up and deal with?

It just feels dumb to hear leadership say “ask for help if you need it” when they’re making the task harder, and I’m often neglecting my job to deal with the fitting rooms/500s as is (which I shouldn’t have to do, but I’ve given up on that fight). I know it’s small anyway, not that big of a deal, but like when I find misplaced items on the floor I put them away myself, I don’t make it someone else’s problem, so it’s mildly frustrating to not receive that consideration in return.

I hate seeing my manager look around all sneakily as he takes a handful of clothes into the fitting rooms and returns empty handed, only to walk into the fitting rooms and see a nightmare.
