Should I message her

I(33M) have been married to my wife (33F) for 14 years. Recently we have decided to open our relationship to other possibilities and now I’m looking for someone to connect with on a personal, friendly and see where it goes level knowing there isn’t the concern of “what if my wife finds out.”

I recently stumbled on the Facebook account of someone I sort of knew back in high school. She was a grade younger than me, friends with my girl friend at the time, and we knew a lot of the same people. We didn’t talk to each other too much mostly cause we were both awkward teens and even when I’d hang out with my gf we didn’t spend a lot around each other. (My gf sort of left her existing friend group and integrated more into mine.) I wish I would’ve gotten to know her little more back in the day, saw from afar we had similar interests and it would’ve been cool to explore that.

Any who, I sent her a friend request and she accepted it. Should message her and attempt to initiate friendship without the pursuit of a romantic interest and see what happens?
